Perfection
What a gem, from the moment you walk through the door of this Immaculate Guest house. My friend and I stayed for 4 nights, Stephen and Neil are the perfect hosts, nothing to much trouble, and a mindful of information on the local area. Breakfast menu supurb and cooked breakfast piping hot. It's the perfect place to stay on visits to North East, Afternoon Teas scrumptious, served by Barbara and staff, whom are so welcoming and friendly. 5 ***** stars all the way. Room with a view to watch the ships roll by. Thank you.

Wow, what a perfect stay

We stayed in the Dickens room at 61. Everything was perfect from start to finish. Really clean with sanitiser everywhere, the whole place smells lovely with candles lit. The breakfast was amazing too 👏👏 It was our first time away since covid hit and we couldn’t have wished for a more perfect welcoming stay - thank you.

Wow!!!!!

I’ve had the pleasure of staying at Tynemouth 61 on a number of occasions and could not stay at another location. The facilities are excellent and the hosts, Stephen and Neil, are first class. Clean, tidy and homely, the house and bedrooms are very comfortable. The Covid-19 preparations are also second to none on the high street and should be commended with every consideration given to guest safety.

The breakfasts are tasty with a wide variety and choice. The afternoon teas are to die for and exceptional value.

Tynemouth 61 is in a great location surrounded by beautiful coastline and a fantastic high street with great restaurants.

Stephen and Neil have really good local knowledge and are very accommodating in sharing tips on eateries, walks and local destinations.

I cannot recommend highly enough - 11/10! An absolute gem in a lovely, in demand area. Thank you Stephen and Neil.

Smashing!

Just had a 2 night stay at the recently reopened premier Tynemouth guest house and it was a a treat. Stephen and Neil were lovely hosts and they have adapted to the post Covid world with the minimum of fuss. The Garabaldi room, overlooking the street, was cosy and quiet with a stonking hot shower. Preordered breakfast was perfect and the hosts were always ready for a chat and to give you the gossip on their brush with TV stardom on 2018's Four In A Bed appearance. Thanks for the hospitality guys, and we hope to see you again during our next round of Tynemouth property hunting.

Brilliant visit to Tynemouth 61 Guest House

Stayed here 18th March with my daughter.  Made to feel really welcome from the minute we arrived. Steve showed us up to our room which overlooked the High Street which was lovely.

Twin room with everything you needed. Everywhere was absolutely spotless with loads of attention to detail.
Less than one minute to the beach!

Breakfast/tea room was beautiful and overlooked a lovely outside seating area.  Breakfast was really good with a great choice.

Sadly, we arrived in very uncertain times due to the corona virus but Steve and Neil had such a great sense of humour we had a good laugh together at breakfast.Thank you so much!

We will be back as soon as possible. And we would recommend Tynemouth 61 without hesitation.

Tynemouth as a town is lovely with it's own character. very relaxing. Lovely walks and quite a few really good bars and restaurants.  We will be back again when we can. Thanks Steve, Neil and staff. Stay Safe!

Fantastic!
My husband and I have just had a wonderful stay at Tynemouth 61. We planned our stay to attend a friends party. From arrival to departure, our stay was faultless, & the house was so tastefully decorated for Christmas, we even had a miniature Christmas tree in our room! (Loved the mugs😊)
The view from Collingwood balcony is spectacular on a sunny morning. Breakfast & the endless coffee was fantastic. Thank you Steven & Neil!
