Vera Bolam celebrates her 101st Birthday with us!

Last year Vera Bolam celebrated her 100th birthday, hosting an afternoon tea party for her family & friends at Tynemouth 61.  This year we were greatly honoured to invite Vera back to celebrate her 101st birthday with us.  What an amazing lady – seen here with her son & daughter, Ron & Kim and good friend & neighbour Angela.

Refurbishment underway!

Vera Bolam celebrates her 100th birthday at Tynemouth 61!

It was a great privilege & pleasure for Tynemouth 61 to host our first ever 100th birthday party on Sunday 30 July 2023!  The wonderful Vera Bolam was joined by friends and her daughter, Kim, to celebrate her 100th birthday with an Afternoon Tea Party.  What an achievement and what a lovely person – we raise a toast to Vera on this special occasion and wish her all the very best as she continues her celebrations with friends & family this week.

The funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II Monday 19 September 2022 – Tea Room Closed

The Tea Room will be closed on the bank holiday, Monday 19th September, as we remember Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

The Guesthouse is open as usual.

The Tea Room and Garden will reopen the following weekend (Saturday & Sunday – 10.30am to 4.30pm).
